DAILY DOSE CONTENT

Bergamot:
450 mg
The natural composition of Bergamot is noted for the presence of strong antioxidant molecules -polyphenols. Making it very useful in countering occurrences whose onset is triggered by the formation of free radicals such as ageing, tumours and metabolic changes.
Two of the polyphenolic compounds in particular, have aroused heightened interest, as they replicate chemical structures similar to statins, the main drug used in the treatment of hypercholesterolaemia. That makes them highly effective in reducing total cholesterol levels, LDL and triglycerides.
In addition, these compounds are responsible for increasing HDL (the so-called good cholesterol) and promoting the uptake of glucose in the blood by the liver and muscles, resulting in overall lower blood sugar levels. Naringin, another juice derived polyphenol, has shown anti-inflammatory properties in atherosclerosis related processes.

Artichoke:
450 mg
Artichoke leaf extracts are rich in flavonoids, which have been renowned for their ability to help reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Studies suggest that flavonoids may reduce blood cholesterol levels by inhibiting cholesterol synthesis and increasing LDL-receptor expression. Artichoke leaf extract is a rich source of folic acid, biotin, iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc and vitamins A, B complex, C and K.

Annurca apple:
150 mg
Dried Annurca apple extract contains high levels of polyphenolic complex, boosting its beneficial health properties. Leading on from data linked to studies on the fruit itself, the efficacy of 800 mg/day in a gastro-resistant formulation was tested on 250 subjects with moderate hypercholesterolemia (TC: 214-254 mg/dl) for 12 weeks vs. a placebo. The results showed significant reductions in TC total cholesterol, and lowering of LDL and increasing of HDL levels.

Olive leaf:
150 mg
Olive leaf extract, rich in polyphenols, can help improve blood pressure and reduce high cholesterol. These positive effects reduce the risk of coronary heart disease by 9-14%, and the risk of stroke andor heart attack by more than 20%. By decreasing the level of low-density lipoproteins or (LDL) bad cholesterol and increasing high-density lipoproteins or (HDL) good cholesterol. The effect is due to polyunsaturated fatty acids in the leaves, in particular α-linoleic acid.
