Types of data processed

  1. Browsing data
The IT systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire certain personal data during their normal operation, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This information is not collected to be associated with identified individuals, but by its nature could, through processing and combination with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

This category includes the IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users connecting to the website, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file returned, the numerical code indicating the server response status (success, error, etc.), and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and IT environment.
This data is used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information about website use and to check that it is functioning correctly, and is deleted immediately after processing. The data may be used to establish liability in the event of alleged cybercrimes against the website; except in such cases, web contact data are currently retained for no more than fifteen days.

  2. Cookies
Cookies are small text files that the website you visit sends to your device, where they are stored and then sent back to the same website on your next visit.
Third-party cookies are instead set by a website operated by a third party, rather than the website you are visiting.
For your protection, please note that a cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user’s hard drive, transmit viruses, or obtain email addresses.
There are two types of cookies: so-called “technical” cookies and “profiling” cookies.
Technical cookies enable fast computer authentication while maintaining user identification during a session, and also allow secure browsing. They are not stored persistently on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed.
Under the Guidelines issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority on 10 June 2021, these cookies may be used without the data subject’s consent.
As noted above, this website uses both types of cookies. For more information, including how to disable “profiling” cookies, we recommend consulting the dedicated notice by clicking here.

  3. Data voluntarily provided by the data subject
If, while visiting this website, you decide to provide your personal data (for example, your first name, surname or email address), where this option is available, in order to access certain services or submit requests by email, IMO S.p.A.will process that data to respond to your request or provide the requested service in accordance with this notice and the specific privacy notices provided when you sign up for individual services. The data will be retained for as long as necessary to provide the requested service and handle any disputes.
Your personal data will be disclosed to third parties only where this is necessary to fulfil users’ requests, as explained in the specific notices for individual services, or to simplify—at your request—registration on third-party websites or applications.

Purposes and legal basis of processing
IMO S.p.A. processes the browsing data referred to in section 1 to monitor the technical operation and performance of the website and understand how to improve and develop its services. These data are necessary to ensure the website is provided.

The data referred to in section 2 are used to check that the website is functioning correctly and to monitor users’ behaviour on it.
For these types of data, the legal basis is the data subject’s consent, given through the initial banner before actual browsing on the website begins.
For data referred to in section 3, please consult the specific privacy notices for the individual services.

How data are processed
Your data are processed using IT and electronic tools and protected by appropriate security measures designed to ensure confidentiality and integrity.

In particular, IMO S.p.A. has adopted and continues to adopt appropriate organisational measures (including the allocation of roles and responsibilities for activities and checks), procedural measures and technical measures (firewalls and antivirus software) to protect your data against loss, theft, unauthorised use, disclosure or alteration.
Personal data collected to achieve the purposes described above may be subject to simple disclosureto public and private entities, within their respective areas of responsibility, for the proper management of employment relationships or to comply with reasoned requests from authorities, laws, regulations and/or EU rules.

User rights
You may access information relating to you at any time and request that it be corrected and/or supplemented, deleted, de-indexed, anonymised or blocked. You may also object to processing in whole or in part, or request data portability.

To exercise these rights, you may write to IMO S.p.A., Via Firenze 34, 20060 Trezzano Rosa (MI), Italy, or email imo@imospa.it or send a certified email (PEC) to imo@pec.imospa.it
