Lapacho is a tree native to Brazil, used as a medicinal herb for over a thousand years. The properties of Lapacho are mainly antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and purifying, thanks to a substance contained within the bark, lapachol. It has been shown to be effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (e.g., staphylococci). Echinacea is a perennial Asteraceae, used as an immune system stimulant in the prevention of upper respiratory infections and as support for related therapies. This immunostimulant function is linked to the ability to activate macrophages, which in turn regulate the activity of the pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-alpha, resulting in the elimination of the toxic agent. Furthermore, it has been shown that the alkylamides present in the plant bind to cannabinoid receptors, thereby developing an immunomodulatory effect. Also interesting are the studies that have demonstrated antibacterial activity against Escherichia Coli and Pseudomonas Aeruginosa.

Astragalus is a plant belonging to the Fabaceae family, whose drug is the root, composed mostly of polysaccharides (which make up 70% of the extract), flavonoids, and triterpenic saponins (astragaloside). Due to the polysaccharide fraction, astragalus is attributed with immunostimulant and anti-inflammatory properties. One of the immunostimulant mechanisms of astragalus is the regulation of lymphocyte families and the restoration of the normal humoral immune function of the organism.

Ginger is a herbaceous plant of the Zinzigiberaceae family. The dried rhizome is the part containing the active ingredients of the plant: essential oil (composed mainly of zingiberene), gingerols and shogaols (mainly responsible for the pungent flavour), resins and mucilages. Clinical studies have shown that gingerols and shogaols are mainly responsible for the digestive activity of ginger, acting on the 5HT3 receptors present at both the gastric and intestinal levels. They therefore stimulate gastric secretions and promote their emptying. They are also excellent anti-inflammatories: they inhibit the inflammatory cascade, blocking some enzymes (LOX and COX), which are important for the synthesis and release of prostaglandins.
